Alliance Forest Products provides heat treating for any pallet, crate or engineered lumber, to meet all government export requirements. This ensures that your shipment is ISPM-15 compliant and marked with the IPPC stamp requirement. KD-HT lumber will meet all ISPM-15 compliance for heat treating because it’s dried at the mill to reduce moisture content. KD-HT (Kiln Dried Heat Treat) is performed at considerably higher temperatures and is a longer process. Mills usually stamp their lumber grade which includes the KD-HT imprint. All wood pallet manufacturers and suppliers are required to comply with all government regulations for overseas shipment.

What is the IPPC? The International Plant Protection Convention is an international treaty to secure action to prevent the spread and introduction of pests of plants and plant products, and to promote appropriate measures for their control. It’s governed by the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) which adopts International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs).
