WOOD PALLETS & SKIDS
NEW WOOD PALLETS
At Alliance Forest Products our primary goal is to provide options and solutions that will meet all of our customers’ packaging and shipping requirements. So we offer a wide range of new pallets and skids that can be designed to meet a specific shipping requirement, or built to your specifications. For pallet design we use PDS© (Pallet Design System) Software. This design software will also calculate the maximum safe load capacity and provide a rating that will avoid lateral collapse. Custom pallets can be built in a stringer or block type as 2-way, 4-way, flush, wing, inset, or with a plywood deck. Capabilities include: chamfering, notching, banding, stenciling, and shock absorption
Additional pallet options include used pallets, remanufactured (recycled) pallets and combination pallets. We can also supply new GMA 48 x 40 4-way spec pallets, or “modified GMA” spec used or recycled pallets. All pallets, new and used, can be heat treated for export shipment. This assures that your cargo meets all government ISPM-15 compliance for overseas shipments including the IPPC stamp requirement. We can supply pallets in virtually any shape, size or quantity, in a variety of lumber species.
USED WOOD PALLETS
Alliance Forest Products offers used and recycled pallets in a variety of sizes and types as a low-cost alternative for our customers. We obtain used pallets from various sources including wood pallet and scrap removals from our customers. Once scrap removals are unloaded and sorted, good used pallets are put into inventory for immediate resale.
Pallets requiring a minor repair (i.e. replacing a broken board) are repaired then placed into inventory for resale. Pallets beyond repair are disassembled for the usable boards and stringers. This recycled lumber is then used to repair used pallets. Used pallets are structurally sound and offer a cost effective option if your company is shipping out a product once and not getting the pallet back.
Today companies nationwide have designed and implemented a “green” agenda as their commitment to the environment; the overall goal being to send as little waste as possible to landfills. All lumber not recyclable is ground into mulch and sold, returning it to earth in a biodegradable and natural form. It may also be ground into wood pellets and sold to be burned for fuel. Both processes are the thrust of our “green” agenda.
REMAN & COMBO WOOD PALLETS
Recycled pallets are yet another way that Alliance Forest Products can reduce your pallet costs while maintaining a commitment to the environment. Recycled pallets are available in 2 forms:
Remanufactured (“Reman”) Pallets: these are pallets built from scratch using all recycled boards and stringers obtained from disassembled pallets.
Combination (“Combo”) Pallets: these are pallets built from scratch using a combination of new and recycled boards and stringers.
Both Reman and Combo pallets can be ordered built to a particular spec or a specified size and type. Although these are recycled pallets they are structurally sound and are available in quantities large or small. All used, reman and combo pallets can be heat treated so they meet all ISPM -15 government regulations for export shipments.
INVENTORY LIQUIDATIONS / PALLET OVERRUNS
Periodically overruns of wood pallets, skids and crates become available that ultimately result as excess inventory. This can occur for a variety of reasons i.e. a customer reduces the quantity of pallets from the amount they originally ordered . . . after they’ve been built. Consequently we’re always looking to move these wood pallets quickly at discount prices. So, if your company encounters a shipping situation that offers some flexibility regarding the type, size or design of the pallet you need, then please contact us. Chances are we may have excess inventory of a particular pallet that will meet your shipping needs and save you money.
However, because these are inventory liquidations, there are no guarantees regarding quantities in stock or their immediate or ongoing availability.
